Less manual coordination, more control over the order process

International supply chains operate across company and system boundaries. While Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management is the leading system for planning and control, operational collaboration with suppliers and logistics partners also takes place outside the ERP system.

With x4OSCA, we connect these two worlds. The integration solution, jointly developed by xalution and Setlog, links Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management directly with OSCA, Setlog’s supply chain collaboration platform. Purchase orders and order confirmations can be exchanged automatically between ERP and supplier network.

Following the joint development, x4OSCA is now available and can be integrated into suitable Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.

Connecting Dynamics 365 and OSCA directly

OSCA by Setlog helps companies manage and control collaboration with their international suppliers and logistics partners on a central platform. More than 150 brands already use OSCA.

x4OSCA creates the standardized connection to Microsoft Dynamics 365. Relevant supply chain data is exchanged between both systems and processed directly in the ERP.

The roles remain clearly defined: Microsoft Dynamics 365 is the leading system for planning and control, while OSCA handles operational collaboration with suppliers. x4OSCA ensures automated data exchange between the two.

What x4OSCA connects in practice

The connector supports key data flows in the ordering and delivery process:

  • Order export: Purchase orders are transferred from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to OSCA.
  • Order confirmations: Responses from OSCA are imported and processed directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

This creates a continuous flow of information between ERP system and supplier network, without extensive changes to existing system landscapes.

Connecting shipping and logistics data is possible as well.

“International companies know the problem: relevant data from suppliers and logistics partners sits outside their own system landscape. With x4OSCA and Setlog as our partner, we now bring this data automatically to where it is needed in day-to-day business: into Microsoft Dynamics 365,” says Tobias Endl, Managing Director of xalution.

More transparency across the international supply chain

The standardized connection via x4OSCA makes separate interfaces to individual suppliers unnecessary. At the same time, automated message transmission reduces the manual coordination effort between ERP system and supplier network.

For management, this means more transparency and control over the order process with international suppliers.

“Companies with complex supply chains expect their systems to work together as seamlessly as they do with their suppliers and supply chain partners worldwide. Integrating OSCA into Microsoft Dynamics 365 is the logical answer: a continuous control basis that connects ERP and supply chain network and enables companies to make faster, better-informed decisions,” adds Sabine Hansen, Lead Partner Management at Setlog.
