It was a major project that our Czech colleagues implemented in almost record time at SPORTISIMO – one of Europe’s leading sporting goods retailers. How to simultaneously and smoothly convert over 180 stores in several countries to a new ERP system? We will gladly tell you!

The challenge: Replacing the existing Enterprise Resource Planning applications with Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations and additional xalution add-ons for optimised product and supplier management.

It was the colleagues of our Prague branch who were in charge of the implementation of this project. They had already impressed SPORTISIMO’s project managers with their extensive industry expertise in the retail and fashion sector and their understanding of the task.

On 1 July, 183 points of sale with more than 500 cash registers simultaneously went live across five European countries – the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. This enables SPORTISIMO – one of the leading retailers of sporting goods in the Czech Republic – to immediately consolidate all data in a Microsoft Cloud database. From now on, all processes will run using this database, which will accelerate them significantly. The result: more flexibility in management decisions.

Xalution Add-ons with special functions for the Fashion Sector

The fashion industry in particular sees processes every day which are very unlike standard retail processes and which therefore require different management approaches and logistical solutions, such as seasonal and collection planning. This is why the xalution group has been offering sector-specific add-ons to supplement Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O for several years. With these add-ons, the system can be customised to the requirements of the individual users, enabling them to implement best practises without losing flexibility.

At SPORTISIMO we implemented:

  • x4fashion suite – for the support of sector-specific retail and fashion processes
  • x4finance – for automatic and easier processing of tasks in the areas of finance and communication with banks
