Today we are talking with Lea, our intern who studies Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
Hello Lea! You have only been with xalution for 2 months now. How do you like it so far and how were you received?
During my onboarding phase, everyone generously took time for me. So, the start was already very pleasant, and I got used to it quickly. The best thing here is that every day is different. There are always new tasks and challenges – I like that.
How did you come to xalution?
I was looking for an internship where I could learn as much as possible. I am studying business administration, which means that I have only seen the surface of IT before. I also wanted to learn more about it and see what the practice in this environment looks like in real life.
What are your tasks?
I support the consultants in customer projects and take over internal tasks in planning and support. But I am also active in marketing, which I enjoy very much. In addition, I have already acquired some basic knowledge of cloud services and IT infrastructure and am in the process of expanding this knowledge.
How would you describe the working atmosphere at xalution?
Although the xalution team works a lot remotely, you can feel a strong cohesion and good cooperation. The relationship between colleagues is very friendly and you are treated as equals from the beginning. No one looks down from above, the hierarchies are flat, and everyone pulls together. If you have a problem or need something, you are helped and if someone else has a problem, you help them. That is how it works.
Why should young people pursue a career in the IT industry?
After all, everyday business life is very diverse and there are always new technological developments. All companies must ensure that they start digitization. Life without IT is unimaginable today, so the IT industry is the future. And young, qualified people are needed for this.
